Cook has more than 25 years’ experience in telecommunications with companies including Cable & Wireless and Alcatel. At HNS, he was the managing director for HOT Telecommunications Group, a joint venture between HNS and Olivetti, building the company into Europe’s leading VSAT service provider. He later served as vice president of Hughes Network Systems Europe.

Most recently, Cook was responsible for the strategic development of future broadband services and markets. He currently heads up marketing for the HNS’ North American Division, encompassing large and medium enterprise markets, consumer and small business, and government markets. He also develops new broadband products and services.

Cook has long been a leading advocate for the development and deployment of broadband satellite systems and has contributed as an industry representative in proceedings both in the UK House of Commons and the US Congress. He was a founding member and director of the Global VSAT Forum.

Mr. Cook holds a first-class BS (Honors) degree in Mathematics from Exeter University.
